Q: How do I know if my student is taking the correct required courses for a Georgia high school diploma?
A: We provide ACCURACY - We offer High School Academic Advising to keep you current on course requirements and state-wide changes.
Q: What if I'm not good at record keeping?
A: We provide ACCOUNTABILITY - We walk you through the process each step of the way. Our required deadlines for semester documentation will help you stay up-to-date with your student’s records and transcript.
Q: Since it’s not required by Georgia law and my student isn’t applying to college, why do we need an accredited transcript?
A: We provide ASSURANCE - Having an accurate, current transcript and student records provide peace-of-mind should something happen to the primary teaching parent (such as an illness, divorce or death.) The other parent has proof of the student's previous school records and current courses to be able to continue on with their student's schooling without guesswork or repeated work.
Q: Is it too late to accredit my 11th grader?
A: We offer OPEN ENROLLMENT – Registration is open from 8th grade through JUNE 1 before a student's senior year. Of course, the sooner a high school student is enrolled, the better! But we are happy to help you caught-up and on-track for a smooth senior year!
Q: There seems to be varying opinions within my homeschooling community. How do I know who to listen to?
A: We provide GUIDANCE - There is no one-size-fits-all answer to homeschooling because every family is unique. What works for others might not work for your family. While we can't answer those questions for you, we can offer some objective guidelines to help you make educated decisions for your family's specific situation.
Q: Can my homeschool student dual enroll?
A: We provide DUAL ENROLLMENT ACADEMIC ADVISING – We work in conjunction with the college’s Academic Advisor to help your student select their college classes at any college in Georgia, statewide or online.
Q: The college application process seems overwhelming! Can you help?
A: We provide COLLEGE PLANNING AND ADVISING - Our College Planning Advisor offers tips and guidance for in-state and out-of-state college applications. We submit your student's official transcript directly to college and to GaFutures (for the HOPE scholarship eligibility.)
DID YOU KNOW?
NON-accredited homeschool students are NOT eligible to receive HOPE-scholarship tuition the first semester of their college freshman year unless the student scores in the top 25% nationwide on the SAT or ACT? Otherwise, NON-accredited students will be reimbursed HOPE tuition only after successfully completing 30 college-credit hours (8-10 college classes) and maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
Our accredited students can receive IMMEDIATE HOPE ELIGIBILITY the first semester of their college freshman year!
